ITHACA is an Esprit Technology Integration Project whose aim is to
develop an integrated application development and support environment
based on the object-oriented programming approach.
The ITHACA project ran from 1989 till 1994 as a number of sub-projects.

project, and contain on-line descriptions of the partners and
their activities within ITHACA, pointers to ftpable publications,

Another way to decide about the success or failure of a major project
like ITHACA is by looking on how the developed technology and
gained experience is commercialized.
In this sense the ITHACA project was also succefull since a
spin-off company was founded in 1995 by people that had worked in the project
commercializing the experience and results of the project.
The company, Tech@Spree Software Technology GmbH, is based in Berlin and is a highly competent partner on the road
to object technology, distributed objects and internet applications.
